BioTek’s Synergy™ 2 Alpha Microplate Reader provides high-performance Alpha detection at a reasonable price for low- to medium-throughput laboratories. The Synergy 2 Alpha comes pre-configured with the Alpha filter set, mirrors, software and optical modules to read all Alpha assays, and is easily upgradable with additional detection modes as the laboratory’s needs change.

“Extensive user feedback demonstrates that Synergy 2 Alpha’s sensitivity is on par with expensive laser-based systems,” notes Xavier Amouretti, Product Manager at BioTek. “Its lower price point makes it easier for life science research laboratories to adopt AlphaScreen®, AlphaLISA® and SureFire® assay technologies.”

In addition to Alpha assay specificity, the Synergy 2 Alpha single-mode microplate reader is integrated with Gen5™ Data Analysis Software for advanced reader control, data analysis, graphing and reporting features. An informational Alpha assay CD is also included, and contains Alpha-based application notes, Gen5 sample data files and pre-programmed Gen5 sample protocols. Synergy 2 Alpha is modular, and can be upgraded to any Synergy 2 multi-mode reader configuration, including absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, TRF or FP detection modes and injection.
